We built Area after going through the search ourselves — one feed, kept up to date, and free to use.
When we first landed on this island, we didn't expect apartment hunting to become the hardest part of settling in. Like so many people here, we spent evenings bouncing between chaotic Facebook groups and endless agency sites — only to call about a place and hear it had been rented months ago. What should have taken a few days quietly turned into a full-time job.
We kept thinking there had to be a better way. Something more visual, faster, and above all, centralized in one place. So we built it.
That's Area.
We wanted it to be 100% free, simple, and stress-free. Area filters out expired listings, gathers homes to rent, share, or buy from across the market, and puts the best finds in one scrollable feed — so you spend less time hunting and more time choosing. You can also publish your own listing from the app, with photos, video, and a username people can message.
Whether you're Maltese born and raised or a newcomer still finding your footing, we genuinely hope this saves you time — and spares you a few headaches we know all too well.
